Re: What can I do to stop her re-entry into the US?

I can't believe how much bitterness people have. So you do not approve what Kittycat is doing or planning to do? Then stay away from helping him, but why keep attacking him, especially if nobody...

Re: question on I-485 immigration papers

This forum is becoming less of the solution and more of the problem for people filling immigration papers. Folinskyinla said clearly, check the box "A," someone else, after giving a bad advice,...

Re: j-1 waiver; how to determine if financing if from government?

Yes, I was curious about that as well when I was applying for the waiver. Never came across such statistics. The number of waivers is probably different depending on what grounds you are applying on...

Re: j-1 waiver; how to determine if financing if from government?

Re: J-1 visa without 2 year home residency requirement; is it possible?

2 year HRR can be attached to J1 if your "training" falls under the skills list. I do not know if this particular list is up to date.

Re: USA PR working in Canada?

I have a question regarding working in Canada as well. Would a US PR be able to telecommute in Canada? It would be a part time job in my case and I would be working full-time in the US.

Re: Form I-751,Removing conditions and the marriage with a 40 years age difference..

Best defense is offense :) Maybe she has a wonderful sex life, not the kind that Viagra provides :) If you are so happy in your relationship, why do you have to be so defensive and why stick your...

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

No-spam,
I am sure you are familiar with the waiver process but not for Fulbrights. Your own posts are contradicting each other. Fulbright waivers are different from Work and Travel, Au-pair or any...

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

No-spam, I do not understand you. You quoted my post to say that you recommend honesty. You say not to use "the same old tired argument." Where in my post I encourage Yasmina2005 not to be honest?...

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

I do not know. I did not use the job argument, but I think someone else did. Ina combination with other arguments. I would not give them too many details about a particular office you worked for....

Yeap, I posted this quote twice already. As I said, this is what I kept in mind when composing my personal statement.

Yasmina2005,
I haven't heard of a case like yours, but you should definitely...

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

Yes, of course, no no-objection statement means no waiver for all J1s. What I am saying, that for Fulbrights, no-objection statement does not mean a successful waiver. Note what I posted earlier:

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

I doubt that no-objection statement is most responsible. Then how come so many people who obtain no-objection statements get unfavorable recommendations. On the other hand, I am sure there is no...

I was studying communication, taught...

Re: J1 Non-objection Waiver - Fulbright

I thought Fulbrights are supposed to be bright and be able to read info themselves when given a link :)

I have no idea, but I think in my case my statement made a difference. I also mailed...

Re: got fired - what now?

You can not study on B1 visa, if you are really a student, contact your school to get an F1 or a J1 visa. Just before your graduate -- you can apply for OPT (optional practical training, I believe)...
