Re: The nostalgic food cravings of Brits

To the OP, have you tried bread that has been labeled up as "Italian"? That normally isn't sweet. My husband currently really likes the Italian version of the brand Wonder (it reminds me of...

Re: trip to New York - need idea of places/areas to stay

There are a few hotels not that far from the entrance to the Lincoln tunnel, you should be able to jump onto a bus to get into Manhattan from Jersey side and it should be really quick.

Somewhere...

Re: Child Born In US Obtaining US & UK Passports

We rang up UK border agency and they said to just get an emergency passport for the baby - it's not really an emergency though. Going to ring the Embassy and see what they suggest.

Re: How can i rent in Boston

If you can get someone to be guarantor for you, that may work. The credit check will be carried out on them.

Re: Child Born In US Obtaining US & UK Passports

We are planning to move back to the UK soon after the birth of the baby - basically, I don't think I have given myself enough time to apply for the British passport through the British Embassy (who...

Re: Best US Checking Account?

Another recommendation for Wachovia (soon to be Wells Fargo next month). I'm happy with the online banking (although it's slower than the UK) and manage to pay all my bills (except rent) through it...

Re: Pregnant and moving to the US

I haven't given birth yet (soon!) but my care from start has been amazing and so much better than what my friends/relatives have had through the NHS. I guess I can't do a direct comparison because...

Re: Pregnant and moving to the US

Will you be having your 20 week scan before you arrive? Bring your notes with you but your OB will probably scan you again here.

You will need to find an OB/Gyn like Duncan said, if you know...

I found duvet covers really pricey here for the type and quality.

We just ended up using a flat sheet with the comforter and then wash flat sheet regularly and comforter less so.

Re: How Soon can I go to SS Office?

Re: How Soon can I go to SS Office?
