No I'm not adjusting status as I'm living in the UK. I'd enter the US on an immigrant visa and effectively receive the greencard. Hmm...I wonder if we should call the USCIS for clarification.

OK, I've now received the interview letter from USCIS Atlanta. The letter was indeed sent directly to my wife, but my ex-lawyer was copied (in error). It states quite clearly they want to interview...

It would be easier if I presented you with my timeline (it's in Excel). As a high level summary - Divorce finalized 10 months after entry to US/marriage. Received 2 yr greencard 3 months after that....
