I also live in NY and it's not just the young women who carry the dogs. Just a couple of weeks ago I saw an older lady pushing two dogs in a stroller. How's that for nuts?

The automated response you heard is just a standard response. Pay no attention to it. It'll keep saying that until your petition is approved. The message *should* change when you are approved.
