Hi Rural, advice required please. The nice man from T-Home called and told me that Yes, phone and ADSL WAS available in our street - I asked him all the questions and he seemed to confirm everything...

Do you actually still get ITV and BBC??? We cannot get either! If so then how big is your dish, maybe ours is too...

Yes I agree, they are quite sweet to look at but the damage they do is awful - we have had various suggestions including traps and poison from the local gardener but I would prefer to simply shoo...

I would be happy watching TV online but we have to use a T-Mobile satellite internet link - they sell you what they call a 'dongle' and you pay for Gigabytes of download every month - 8 GB is 7500...

Unfortunately it seems that ITV has moved to a different frequency which we can no longer get in Hungary on a standard dish. Not sure if getting a larger dish would help or whether it's just gone...

Nagykanizsa is another place where you could find a kitchen and other furniture but the range will not be as good as IKEA - I called IKEA and they do a delivery service - you could actually order...

What do you call a reasonable price? Petrol alone will be Ft 8000.

Normal taxi would be extremely expensive - maybe best to stay in cheap Budapest hotel and travel the next day?

First question must be what area are you looking at? If you are wanting to 'invest' in some rental properties then presumably you will want all year round rental and therefore it would seem...

Forgive my lack of technical knowledge but did you say your internet doesn't come through your phone line and presumably it's not wireless from your previous post so how does it work???
