I am just going by the FAQ on the US Consulate Website in Canberra that says you must leave within 10 days of your visa expiring.

Yesterday I returned from Canada and had my I-94 dated until 10 days after the expiry of my E3. I asked the officer why he did that date and he explained that I have 10 days to leave the country...

I have to agree. I just came back to the US last Friday, I have 1 year left on my E3 and they gave me 2 years on my I-94.

As I have said before it really depends on who you get on the day, some...

I did not use one, the job I have requires a bachelors degree (which I had) and I just followed all the info on the US Consulate website as well as reading the interesting stories on here and booked...

Not that I explained myself that well but MikeWine was saying that his I-94 ran longer than his E3. So yes he could stay in the US but he can't work past the expiry of his E3. Is that a more correct...

Not to be a kill joy here and being well aware that you had some difficult times recently (thankfully overcome) I am not so sure that you can work for the time that is stamped in your passport on...
