I am not sure how much your husband will make a year before tax, but what I can say I am in San Diego working in IT as well and making 122k a year and consider it low, providing that this 1 income...

Finding company who will sponsor you ,it takes 2 years to get GC, nowadays TN is valid for 3 years not like used to be 1 year, at least it was when I was on it,also being hired by recruiting agency...
