Yeh, actually another friend did mention this the other day...I'm in a managerial role and apparently the criteria includes whether you have a degree certificate or not as well, is that right?

yep ive apparently got labour approval, just not the actual stamp on the passport and still havnt done the blood test nor x-ray.

this is frustrating - they say you can leave within your probation...

Also do you know if the 6 month ban is still valid as there were rumours going around that this had been lifted due to the recession period. Would this be applicable...

It was my bible when i got laid off in November and dont remember seeing it but will check again...im still trying to get my 3 months compensation back from the previous company too!!!

Is there a shortcut of where I can find written confirmation that the company is in fact responsible for paying?? I just know that if i speak to anyone, they will just give me different info and not...

Yes they are in the process...the delay now is because they are having issues with the visa of another staff member and they cant make individual payments therefore the rest of us have to wait whilst...

Yep thats what i thought...every other company would look after you and sort it all out but this company ive learnt is not the same and has already told me that they will not be paying any of the...

Im confused - is it 10dhs/day or 100dhs/day??

I cant even go pay and get a new stamp on my passport as my new company still have my passport, its been just over 3 months and they still havnt...

How about if the overstay is purely due to the stuff up of the current (and new) employer?? Is there a regulation stating that ONLY the employee is liable for the overstay fines???
