Thanks, definitely. I don't want to get my heart set on things. I'm getting my dual nationality so if the worst happens and we do need to return it should be relatively easy.

Bill Bryson is awesome! We have all his books and both love him. Fav was the taxes chapter and also the computer helpline chapter. He is brilliant.

What does "her" family constitute as? She lives with her fiance, his parents, and his brother and his sister. Does she need an income level based on just her and my hubby or do they take into account...

In terms of co-sponsor I do have a friend in the US that earns more than the poverty line. Could she co-sponsor based on her salary and I co-sponsor with the £15-£20k that I have?

I never thought about obtaining dual citizenship but you make an excellent point and I will definitely looking into that.

My status, I've lived here for 9 yrs this August on perminent residency basis. I have retain my US citizenship and I am not dual.
