Thanks for all your responses! Yes, Outaouais is great in many ways but not on the medical front. I will never have a bad word to say about the NHS again!

Thanks. I will try and double-check the English school stuff too as I think you're right about the TWP. When we moved here last year, we were told we could try and make a case with the school board...

Thanks for this. I believe 2 days in one place and 3 in the other - not sure which way round though - yes it is Dorval. Knowlton sounds a bit like where we live now and I am sure they would love...

That's what I thought (as we are PR and our kids attend French) but my friend said she had found out that the kids could attend English for primary but that they would have to go to French secondary....

17 months in Quebec and still breathing;-)

We moved to Quebec province (north of Ottawa) in August 2011 as Qc skilled workers. We left everything behind and came here jobless, homeless, school- less...and with family calling us craayzy!

Thanks for all the helpful replies. Mainly Desktop, printer, laptops, phone chargers but apparently our shipping container arrives today (!) so our UK extension leads should suffice until visitors...
