No, you cannot! Lodging your app without a proper IELTS score only gets you a direct rejection! I've heard of same failed cases.

I haven't got the stamped visa on my passport yet. It was just today I got the grant email from my CO. And my online app status is all approved.

It's nothing. I've heard a few of people has got granted since they lodged in Oct... Only 3 months.

Hi guys, I made a call to DIAC this morning to check my app status, then within 1 hour I got my grant letter! Oh yeah!

My wife passed her IELTS with band score 6.5.
Now all set. Just waiting for the final grant email or letter falling from the heaven after the holiday... :)

Hi I think ThKmOZ has answered your questions. The final entry date is 1 year from the date of your PCC.

Got pre-grant email today! Asking for 2nd applicant's ielts proof. My wife just sat the exam last weekend. So I guess we could only send it back to my CO until we get the ielts results next week or...

It's just my personal guess based on what I have heard from more than 30 cases. You don't have to believe me... :p Or,... should I say most of them?

I lodged a PLE and got email reply indicating that a CO has been assigned to me. Nothing else happened so far..

There are other visa options other than skilled ones. Go check the immi.gov.au
