is it the same situation for a 457 though? or were you guys going for a defacto on a 175 or whatever the permanent visa/residency is?

you need 12 months hard evidence just for a 457 sponsored work...

thanks rob - yeah that's the problem, not knowing what the criteria is/what they're looking for etc. i've also had a lot of conflicting info regarding whether we need 6 months evidence of living...

ah its a shame you're having such bad luck. am doing ok with select - although work is sparse at the moment with it being the beginning of term 1. i have got a years contract for science to start in...

regarding the 457 de facto - we didn't think we'd be able to do it as he has also been working...
