what you'll probs find with the japanese is the service interval is only 5000km rather than 15000km of the VW... so the cost even's it self out and you dont have the inconvenience of having the car...

A two day stopever could be good... the airport is very central to the city center so no long taxi drives. Theres also some cracking deals on hotel at the moment as they're having a bit of a lull in...

we live in dubai at the moment, and have several uk bank accounts.

we get the statements sent to my sister in laws house, everything else is done online.

no problems at all.
