Well, I'll certainly try to get one if I think I'm ever eligible, but things might not work out that way... so I guess I might just have to live with being a non-person for a while! Ho-hum...

Sorry - I was being an idiot - he has a non-immigrant L1 visa.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Did you mean the visas would suffice for applying for a Texas licence or for getting the SSN? Either way, does that mean I can't get the licence for the time I'm out there...
