Thanks for the advice. To be honest I thought we had no chance but it sounds fairly hopeful. Do anyone know of anyone else that has managed to get the RRV in this way?

We have looked at the commute and the morning train takes just over an hour which my husband seems fine with. I'll take a couple of years off work to get the kids settled....

Okay I've spoken to the High Commision this morning and it seems do-able. We all go out there in 3-4 months time with the youngest on a visitors visa whilst his child visa is being processed.

We are hoping to move over later this year - probably to the Austinmer/Thirroul/Bulli area. We have x3 kids - aged 6, 4 & 2 - who regularly get taken to the park/farm/musuems etc in the UK.
