Re: Saudi lingerie trade in a twist

I think it's a good idea, what's the big deal? I guess it will take a bit of time, but they are getting there, in terms of practicalities and stuff.

Most of the malls have fitting rooms here; I...

Re: If you had 12 hours to live, what would you do?

FYI: Killing innocent people is completely forbidden by Islam, as is suicide.

Very disappointing to see something like this posted here. A bit sad too.

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

Bit of a long story.

The shortish version is that I couldn't believe that 'this' was all there was to life/my existence. 'This' being the rat race/treadmill pursuit of money/status/stuff/mortgage...

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

Not to experience it more intensely. It's obviously a lot easier here, and it's nice not being in the minority, which has had the effect of making me more relaxed than intense.

Yup, still a...

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

Interesting, but I can't say that applies to me,

I grew up in London with a Jewish father and a Christian-turned-atheist mother. I was brought up with no real religion or even superstition tbh. I...

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

I was responding to the previous poster's assumption that I was trying to make her 'believe'. I wasn't, I was debating.

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

Double fairy nuff. You're right, it doesn't. You're just some random internet person who I will never know.

I was just trying to have a debate/discussion or whatever to exercise my brain...

I feel so sorry for her.

And I'm really sorry for all your losses.

My dh's friend died two months ago of bowel cancer. He was the same age as me (31).

I just wish we could speed up...

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

I wasn't going to say that, I was just asking out of interest.

Who's making assumptions now? :p

I don't give a monkey's if you believe or not. :) Why do people ASSUME that all Muslims are...

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

It's like saying something tastes nasty when you've never even eaten it.

Re: Islam's war on freedom....

And there was me thinking I thought of that one myself! :curse:

Yes, there was an Eve-type character. Hawwa (Eve) was the wife of the first human and first prophet Aadam.

As for Pascal- I...

Re: Opinions?

I kind of agree with it (however accurate it is)

I don't think it's racist. I think it's a bit of a cheek to move to a country and expect it to change for you. I think England, for example) has...

Re: Jet Lag - Any Tips On How To Avoid It?

I think avoiding dehydration helps so drink a lot (of water!)
