NO it's not a passport size photo it must be 32 x 26 mm, which is smaller, if you are careful you can cut down a passport photo to the correct size.

Yes the medical is needed for everyone aged over 60, but it is very basic. I got mine done locally, no appointment neccessary, it was a basic eye test and a colour blind test then a few basic health...

As I said originally, the funeral was taken care of, they had an insurance policy to cover the cost. But I'm sure that the info is of interest to others.
