We are still here too and still loving it !
Our bungalow is near to being finished (only one big room left to decorate) the dogs are fit and well, we now have four lovely hens...

Hi,
Our planning permission took three months and that was including a christmas/new year break. We are at Auros, in the Gironde. Our build took about seven months.

The only thing Charlie misses is Nestle Shreddies breakfast cereal - does anyone know where to get them over here :confused: other than that, we miss nothing - not even going back to UK for visits !!...

We do ok, I go to Le Clerc on tuesdays and do "the shop" and then on saturday morning we go to Bazas market for fruit and veg where we meet up with our brit friends and go and have a coffee or wine...

We are planning a vegetable plot and to have some laying chickens as well. I have never managed a veg garden before (city dweller) so it's all new to us but we will try our best :D

Have you tried turning the LNB clockwise or anti-clockwise, my husband was having trouble getting a good signal quality and then he turned the end of the LNB and voila !

We love the Gironde - two kinds of terrain, one very flat pine forest, the other (where we live) sunflower fields and vineyards (oh did I forget to mention the wine:) ) short mild winters - long hot...
