What happens if the degree's largely in IT (with some Maths modules) and the occupation's IT support/admin. But the IT content of the degree is a mixture of programming, databases, user interface...

If one has an 'Open' degree with the Open University (not in any particular subject), but at least half or more of the courses were in IT, would it be acceptable for the ACS?

I think I read somewhere that if a match isn't sold out, then it's not shown on TV in the city where it's being played :confused:

Are migrants restricted to working in the occupation that they were assessed on?

So if a migrant gets in as an IT system administrator but also has programming skills then they can't switch to...

ACS assess purely on relevant qualifications and experience?

What I mean is, if you've got an IT degree and 4 years relevant professional experience (Category A) or an IT cert + 6 years relevant experience (Cat B), then that's all the ACS are interested in...

Technical Support Officer is listed under Information Communication Technology Professionals (nec) ASCO 2231-79.

Perhaps it would've been a better idea to have had a look through this ACS document...

But would an IT helpdesk job come under the category Computing Support Technician (3294-11), which is 'only' 40 points and isn't assessed by the ACS :unsure:

If a candidate's applying in Category B with an MCSE, would the work experience before gaining that MCSE be considered?

So if a candidate worked on a helpdesk (1st line, 2nd line) for a few years...

Mmmm, interesting. I'd always assumed I'd have to have moved up the ladder from a Helpdesk job.
