Thanks. We are still debating tAOS vs CP, but for now still wondering if we can file I-485 with a I-797C receipt notice showing the PD, and when would be the soonest we could send the I-485 package...

I know AOS takes longer than CP. But does it really take a year for I-485 applications to be scheduled for interviews? Thought it was more like 4-5 months?

Called both NVC and USCIS to inquire about changing to AOS. USCIS infoline person said that although we have an I-130 approval letter, we can't even begin to file the I-485 unless the priority date...

The beneficiary is on F-1 (D/S on I-94). 6 more months on the I-20, but can likely be extended another 6 months.
