Re: I94 Not Stamped: Help!

Moderators should be consistent and fair. I asked the D/S question, a reasonable response to the O/P's post. You let far worse slide, you may want to stop and think about that. I suggest that...

Re: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill To Be Introduced In House Tomorrow

Look guys, it's in the constitution. Born here, automatically a USC, period. Law is the law, blah blah...it's how it is. Don't like it, tough shit.

I didn't marry a septic, I came here on my own...

Re: US Citizen apply for parents and siblings

And rightly so. Tough enough to get into the US on your own merits IMHO.

Re: Student Visa, Debts, Reentry

INS no longer exists, it's USCIS. You haven't, as far as I can see, committed any crime, but you owe money. Pay it, you deadbeat.

Re: I94 Not Stamped: Help!

Tough titty if you walked away from immigration without a date entered on your I-94. Are you sure it has not got D/S written on it?

Re: Travel to US while L1 Application in progress

Can be a problem, because L1 is a dual-intent visa. VWP specifically requires that you have no immigrant intent, which technically, as an L1 applicant, you may well have. In reality, it makes no...

Re: 8th year pending

I live and work in California. When I was on H-1B, it was filed in California. When my I-140 was filed, it was filed in Nebraska. So, I'd say your scenario is not unusual.

Re: I797A says H1B my VISA says H2B

I'm not sure your last statement is true. I had a similar experience, the embassy gave me a J-2 visa instead of J-1, their error. There simply wasn't time to arrange another appointment, so I...

Re: I-140 and Visa Waiwer

Re: J1 tax reclaim valid if change to G4 visa?

Am pretty sure you lose the option to claim your tax back once you change to any other status than J-1, even a tax-exempt status. Certainly one for a tax expert, may be worth your while consulting...

Re: Hi All,

Unfortunately, this kind of shit going on is one of the reasons EB-3 is so backlogged. Legal too, how bizarre.

Re: J-2 and Employment Authorisation

What typically happens (or used to when I went through this, before someone shoots me down) is that your EAD won't be issued within the 90 days. Then you will have to go stand in line at a local...

Re: Resume Problem for H1B application

For someone with a Masters degree, you're not the sharpest tool in the box are you? You're deportable, that's what you are, I'm afraid. A hot-shot lawyer is what you need, and fast. If someone at...

Re: What is a US CV like?
