So far the gestor hasn't asked us how long we have owned the car, so that would rule out that theory, but we think this is a new law which has kicked in in recently. Thank you for your reply

Thank you for your quick reply, but we have been told by the gestor here that we would have had 4 weeks to apply for re-registration and as we were outside this time, due to no fault of our own i.e....

Import Tax on cars

Having just moved to Spain we have found out that there is only 4 weeks in which to register a car to be issued with Spanish plates, the result is we now have to pay import tax on our French car LHD...
