I arrived on January 4th and got a 60 day visa stamped in my passport. Hmm... glad to be able to add to the confusion! :)

If I'm correct, it's better to go with Etisalat. I remember there were some problems connecting from Du mobile phone numbers to people using Etisalat? Or is this fixed now?

Send out cvs now. Try to make each covering letter unique to the place you are applying to and tell them that you are planning to be in Dubai/Abu Dhabi on those particular dates and will be available...

I'd second the advice to try check out the GEMS schools. A cousin of a friend of mine works as a teacher over there and recommended I tried them if I was interested in going down that route.

How many years of studying do you have left? I wouldn't worry about being apart from your family for a while, University goes by so damn quickly! And I'd definitely try to put quality of education...

It's cool, I am working hard, so hopefully it will pay off someday. Just hoping for some advice really if anybody knows what kind of opportunities there are over there in any kind of creative field.
