1- You will do alright with this (combined) salary, although it will be tight.
rents are constantly falling in Dubai and nowadays a 1bed flat in Tecom goes for between 45-50K, so perhaps you want...

I think you will do well in Dubai with 28K and also save a decent amount..
I am surprised that some people think that this is insufficient salary ..and totally agree with Confucius! You can live on...
