true, but they can give you 6 months extension at the most. mine was finalized 8 Dec 2008, 12 month validity expires 8 Dec 2009. I got my visa grant 18 May 2010 and my initial entry was 8 June 2010....

yes Jen, it was one helluvah ride to get this visa grant and sticker on our passports...but thank God I didnt stop believing :)

thanks juliejoy. we have barely 3 weeks to do our initial entry and kinda rushing now to prepare to validate and just do the big move at a later date.

my agent submitted my docs in dec 2007...

At long last, after 2 years of waiting, we finally got the visa (VE 175). Thanks mods, Sylvia and the rest who were very supportive all throughout.

I sent a PLE on 24 Apr to check if they received the completion of my documents required by the CO (new pcc's and proof of functional english for my dependents) sent on 15 Apr, i got an auto reply...

i was thinking of waiting for another week or so because of the Christmas holidays that could have caused the delay...it was my agent who sent my documents upon application but the email from the CO...

I am paperbased. In CO's email in December requesting for further information, it also said that the original documents I have provided in my application were returned to me in my residence address....
