Re: What is the best (read cheapest) way to pay back your student loans from the UK

Thanks for the responses! Has anyone tried paying with a credit card that has no foreign transaction fee? I know SLC charges a 1.5% convenience fee, but that would be negligible.

Re: i-751 Questions

No response from the i-865, I guess I'll try and call or just put the new address on the i-751. Thank you both for the prompt answers!

i-751 Questions

I've been checking what is going to be necessary for the i-751 process. I have a couple questions. This form must be completed and sent (with supporting evidence) within 90-days of the expiration of...

Re: Moving from MI to CA, a question...

I don't think the AR-11 works online. It has required fields that must be completed and other optional or N/A fields. It will not allow me to complete the form without filling in the optional or N/A...

Re: Working for US civil service?

This is what I had thought. I am assuming the reply I received is not necessarily correct. The website for the MI CCC has nothing stating you must be a citizen to apply, however this doesn't always...

Re: POE question - anyone fly through Dublin?

Yeah I did this. I basically had my packet ready and out at the POE in Dublin. The officer looked at the visa, asked if I had the packet, said that we are going to do this now. They walked it over to...

Re: Did anyone do any part of the process through US Embassy in Belfast?

Also if you forget any injections at your GP at home, pay to have them done in London. It is much less hassle. Don't think it'll be any cheaper/easier over in the US.

Re: Did anyone do any part of the process through US Embassy in Belfast?

You definitely have to go through London I'm afraid. I'm from NI too. You can't go through Dublin either because it goes on your residency. It's a lot of hassle and I'm glad that part is over! AOS...

Re: Interview date received.

Starting the process in October hoping for an April wedding is cutting it very fine I would say. I'd give it at least 10 months, even then you'd need to cross your fingers that everything goes...

Just north of Lansing. Had biometrics in Grand Rapids, interview is in Detroit. Good luck with your process, it's a long haul but worth it in the end.

How long after the biometrics did you receive your EAD/AP? I have my biometrics 12th August. I'm trying to get an idea when I will be able to work.
