You can subscribe to a UK proxy IP address - about 7 GBP per month and then access the BBC iplayer and other UK TV sites.

I subscribe to a UK proxy server X roxy (not sure if i'm supposed to mention names here or not)! it's 7 GBP per month - no contracts.

get go download manager is free from cnet.com downloads

The BBC has an iplayer site http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

You cant access the site from an NZ internet address so I go via a UK IP address (proxy)...

If you are an A&E nurse then the Hastings hospital would be a possible for you. I have worked at the hospital for 2 1/2 years - it has a great atmosphere.

The rate on the 'home' page is the tradeable rate but isn't a live rate - I look at the live feeds on http://hifx.co.nz/marketwatch.aspx which are the interbank rates

The rates shown on HIFX marketwatch websites etc are interbank rates, the tradeable rate they offer you is slightly lower - you have to ring them to find out the difference!

just to continue in my unchilled victor meldrew phase - The D-link modem Telecom supply is pants, keeps dropping the connection every 5 mins - someone at work mentioned getting a better modem...

6 months to get internet access seems a valid reason to rant. 30stm 's comment about 'winging pom' is somewhat tiresome - move on! . There are lots of great things about NZ but Telecom's stangle-hold...
