Question Midsummer Festivities in Sweden / Baltics

Greetings,
I have heard that Midsummer is celebrated in Northern Europe and would like to visit then to see what the fuss is about. Some questions for those of you in that part of Europe:
  1. Is it worthwhile going in Midsummer?
  2. Can you suggest some good locations to visit either in Sweden or the Baltics where I can enjoy Midsummer Festivities?
  3. What can I expect at those destinations during Midsummer?
  4. Any other Midsummer-related suggestions or recommendations?
