Apartment Rental in Stockholm

Hi all,

I am moving from the UK in September to start a new job in Stockholm, and I need to sort out somewhere to live.

I know renting an apartment long term is tricky.. and expensive, so thats why any help you guys can give would be great!

Are there any other websites other than blocket and residentsportalen I should look at? Even better, does anyone know of an agent/broker that can handle apartment rental?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Apartment Rental in Stockholm

You could look at Hemnet - Sveriges största bostadssajt.

Finding somewhere in central Stockholm can be difficult, and some people rent a room in an apartment, but I've heard horror stories about their experiences (for example, the contract didn't allow guests to visit the tenant in his/her room).

Some of the Stockholm suburbs are pretty 'naff' these days. Another alternative would be to commute in to Stockholm. Rosersberg is only about a 30-minute train journey into central Stockholm (not sure what the rental market is like there now). Vallentuna is even nearer - but a tad expensive

Good luck
