Re: Your Right To Die Painlessly
No, we are both speculating with completely open minds - I hope. Have you freed your mind from the shackles of believing there must BE a "who" or a "what"? Maybe there is a nothing. Maybe the universe really is infinite - and if it is, then there IS no who or what.
That is a dangerous proposal, imagine where we would be if Issac Newton headed this advice and freed his mind from the shackle of believing there must BE a force pulling down the apple to the ground!!
There was a point in your earlier post I forgot to comment on regarding your friend and how he was alarmed with his findings. I actually have a psychological explanation to his reaction. The reason is that in the mind of many people the words ‘God’ and ‘religion’ are interchangeable. Since in their mind the word ‘religion’ is perceived as a dirty word, the notion of God therefore, becomes a dangerous zone to be avoided.
Any way, I have to give you a credit for being objective in your argument and perhaps we can continue later. But now I have to dash as only one more hours left for Iftar

ROFL! Out of all of the ridiculous comments you've made this one takes the biscuit. If you decide to stop believing in gravity it doesn't mean you'll float off into space. Gravity is a real, observable and powerful physical force. Belief doesn't enter into it.
