Your favourite quotations - film, real life or whatever you choose
Churchill had some really wonderful ones as did Dorothy Parker, Mae West. And there have been some truly memorable (although often misquoted) sayings from film and TV. Do you have a favourite?
Please forgive my poor grammar above - doubt W Churchill would have:
"Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put."

In films, I remember quotes from great films that I have enjoyed (the quote reminds me of the film, etc)............ I need some time to come up with a list.
And sometimes, it's a conversation or dialogue, not a single quote...... Uma Thurman and John Travolta just before the dance contest in Pulp Fiction, etc.

I heard one this week regarding the local dating scene: 'the odds are good, but the goods are odd'
Of course, Churchill was the master of saying things worth quoting:
'I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.'

I drink champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty. ~ Madame Lilly Bollinger

Ken: Coming up?
Ray: What's up there?
Ken: The view.
Ray: The view of what? The view of down here? I can see that down here.
Ken: Ray, you are about the worst tourist in the whole world.
Ray: Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.
In Bruges. Full of brilliant lines.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." - From Billy Madison
"Harry, let's face it. And I'm not being funny. I mean no disrespect, but you're a ****. You're a **** now, and you've always been a ****. And the only thing that's going to change is that you're going to be an even bigger ****. Maybe have some more **** kids" - In Bruges
Natalie: [Harry gets angry and is destroying the phone, his wife approach him, saying:] Harry. Harry! It's a inanimate ****ing object!

I wish I could remember the original German, but from Das Boot:

Oscar Wilde came out with some of the best in my view, but I particularly like "Thirty-five is a very attractive age. London society is full of women of the very highest birth who have, of their own free choice, remained thirty-five for years."
"We'll always have Paris" Casablanca
"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." The Princess Bride
