Are you spying on me? For the first time ever in Dubai, I bought some cheese last night in Spinneys. Unfortunately I wasn't wearing my reading glasses and what looked like Lancashire turned out to be revolting salty stuff.
Anyway, new speciality fisn n cheese shop just opened opposite Shooters Pool Hall on Dubai-edge of Marina: nice but pricey.

Parmesan or Grana Padarno (?), a vegetable peeler and a bottle of port.

Sainsbury's Cornish Brie, failing that then Henri IV (an excellent Brie De Mieux).
Fave British cheeses are Red Leicester and Stilton.

Well I would say St. Marcellin but then I've just discovered this Grandma's (or some such twee name) Sticky toffee cheddar stuff at Spinneys (got dates in it basically) and it's disgustingly addictive...

Nothing like a decent wedge of Stinking Bishop either, not stinking at all, and lovely on some Carrs Water Biscuits with Onion Jam!

Like many other foods, if it's good (and I mean very good) the simplest flavours are best. Therefore............ good Cheddar.
Ditto: plain (ready salted) crisps, vanilla ice cream, etc............

Cheap/generic Chunk Tuna in water , is what I buy in the US. I prefer it over the name brand more expensive tuna slurry in a tin.

I really missed good cheese while I was in Dubai, glad to be able to get my favourite Wasabi cheddar again.

Im not a cheese person at all- but very very rarely I will enjoy a bit of Roquefort (smells like stinky feet) and mozarella in salad is passable
