When your car has been allocated you get their mobile number and vice versa.

They also automatically SMS when you're drivers on the way/ arrived. Easy really

Thats why you have each others mobile numbers. They stay away from the door until their sure its you. They have to be careful as its directly billed to your credit card.

Same applies to taxis. I refuse to use RTA for pre-arranged rides, I only use Careem or Uber.
Not tried either, RTA works really well ( bang goes my airport pick up this weekend)!
