Don't be stupid - you can't simply 'turn British'. You can only be British if you were born in GB. Being British and being a British citizen are two completely different things.

Like the "British" citizen fighting with ISIS. They aren't British. I don't care if they were born in the UK. They turned their back to Britain. F8ck off. Don't call them British. It's a huge insult to the rest of us.

No. You need to define what you are talking about vis a vis the British Nationality Act 1981. Are you talking about:
British citizens,
British Overseas Territories citizens,
British Overseas citizens,
British Nationals (Overseas),
British subjects or
British protected persons.

I was born and bred in the UK....and so of course i hold a british passport, but i wouldn't classify myself as being 'british'....for me being categorised by any nationality means you adopt their culture/traditions etc....my parents were first generation immigrants to the UK, and so i don't consider myself to be 'british'.....however i am a british citizean.....i guess that sounds like an oxymoron
