I have been involed in a couple of projects were this plant was found. One was a residential property, which was valued as worthless until it was removed and eradicated completely. Ended up having to excavate a 2.5m trench right around the property, and install a root tree barrier. That was on top of the vast majority of the back garden that had to be removed and disposed of. The owners had to wait 12 months prior to having it valued again, to ensure it never grew back.

The other job was a greenfield site in Devon, it was found and it resulted in a request to excavate the entire site. Cost a small fortune.

Our guys poured some walls once with blinding concrete, which could be taken down with your fingers still about a week later.
i asked the guy did it not seem unusual pouring it, (our concrete expert) he said they had to add about thousands of gallons of water to pour it

This was fine as it had a min cement content and would have been dispersed over the structure with the higher newton mix . Everything was overly designed concrete wise , all it done was cost the client money ( which we never got !)

Not sure the consultant engineer would have seen it so simply explained
