15 years to the day, I got utterly hammered in the Library in the Ramada.
Doha is pergatory, the place you go before either entering Heaven or Hell.
(Doha gives you a good idea of what Hell might be like...)

That's about as good as it gets , the place is pure shit , count your money it'll take away the pain .

Book a flight and get away for the weekend , it's the only way to survive

So its actually that bad, was my first impression but looks like a fact :-(

As im here for 3 months then to decide make a permant visa or not, it looks like 3 months are enough :-)

The Problem is money is better then in UAE for the moment but i have only one life should i waste this here for a handfull of qr???

Need to decide on that

There's only ever one reason to come here and that's money , it's dull , boring , tedious and mundane .

There's not much going on and what is happening is usually pretty piss poor to be honest .

hehe my experience too though ;-)

Its difficult if you come from uae where are plenty of things to do plus there is something which called environment, here not existing.

I was here before for a couple of projects but i was hoping there is SOMETHING to do here.

The only way is as i can see now, work then go to the gym, sleep.

Even there are not many nice philippinas here ;-(

I left the middle east all together based on this...not regretted it for 1 day. I might return when older..but seriously, I go with good experiences and fun over money any day. But some people call me a hippie.

Actually I faced the same thing when I first moved to Doha from UAE. If you like filipinas, then you must try to meet some and get in their circles of friends. You can try the Qube...Actually, there are several places to go and have a drink in Doha, but it is quiet... Also generally the filipinas of Doha are not as beautiful as the ones in Dubai....If you are into Tennis and /or golf there are some good facilities in some hotels. But in reality, living in Qatar is like being stranded on an island. Especially when you do the drives to the north, west and south it can be more depressing...It is really a desolate place. Stick to Doha, rather than go out of town. Another alternative is if you can afford it, take a weekend flight to Dubai. During the 20 months I was there I visited Dubai 7 times and stayed for 3-4 days each time, it felt so nice. Of course now I left UAE also and I am in Thailand. Each day that passes I am more amazed at how I endured life in the Gulf for 15 years.
