The worst word in the language

Re: The worst word in the language
One of the most alliterative words in English, I believe, is voluptuous.
Say it slowly and softly and it has exactly the sound of a pair of double-d's falling from a brassiere...........

Many say the F-word is the worst because it is onomatopoeic...but perhaps onomatopoeia is the worst word because it is not onomatopoeic itself !

Re: The worst word in the language
I have a mild dislike to the phrase spastic.
It doesn't offend me, cause I don't get offended, it just grates with me.
At least use the phrase flid..
And before the 'peep peep' offended bus appears, its tongue in cheek, as opposed to slavering against a window..

Do some people still say "spastic"?
I don't think I've heard that word bandied about for over 30 years.

Not kidding here, we have 2 geordies on my team and we refer to them as the thick geordie spastics..
They agree with this assessment, well I think that is what the slavered response is..something about chris waddle or gazza..

As for "like", have you noticed that young yanks put it at the start of the sentence and people from the NE of England put it at the end, like?
