I remember those golden days of GSS during rampant inflation in the UK when after the weekly shop the girl at the checkout would punch buttons into the mystical machine mounted above the till and a seemingly endless stream of the green perforated sheets would spew forth. Then we'd hurry home to spend a happy hour licking them all and filling another book (Hmm, maybe where I developed a fascination for licking )

Then there was the GSS catalogue, page upon page of goodies, and only 150 books for a garden chair!!!
When I cleared out the darker recesses of my house in 2005 to move to Spain, I found 6 full books of GSS, used to love collection them, and hated the taste of the glue they used. Remember when petrol ststions would give tokens to exchenge for soup bowl or wine glasses, must have collected dozens of them, again, most got sent to charity shops or local auctions when I moved.

looking at the forecast for the next few days its low 30's with 80-90pct humidity.

I've played a lot of sport in those conditions in SE Asia and it really is draining

Changing the subject - doesn't look like Qatar will be needing their stadiums
\probably why they have been slow to build them

It looks like it's going to implode . They havent started anything that is duely related to 2022 here . Infrastructure being built now would have been built whether they were successful with 2022 or not .

I'm sure this is going to be vicious and make a lot of lawyers very very wealthy .

Its a wonderful privilege to attend, but we'll be kicked to the kerb with nary a chance of scoring let alone out of the group.

This is at least one advantage I can think of with having a young squad - recovery time after playing in that.

Agreed, as long as Honduras are the best team that England come up against.

I just did a predictor, we beat Brazil in the Quarters, Germany in the Semi and Argentina in the final.

Weirdly, it came out that we beat all of them 4-0.

Venezuelan007 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: World Cup Predictions

1. People wont be able to take a piss in the unfinished stadiums
2. A lot of tourist will get robbed
3. Prices will go outer space high
4. A lot of prostitution and STDs
5. Protest and police repression violating human rights
6. Brasil wins the WC with suspicious referee help in key matches

Result, Brazil 2014 WC is the shittiest ever, but media will look the other way cause Brazil invented football or something... and keep bashing the still 8 year far away Qatar 2022.
