Has anyone seen a wooden bucket anywhere in Dubai that I can purchase?

You could try the garden department at Ace Hardware, DFC

I haven't  i hope that helps.

However I have seen similar type items for flower pots etc. in one of the Arabic lighting shop corners of Dubai Mall. I am sure they are unreasonably expensive.

I'd look in the kitchy homewares places... you know the run of them in MotE... probably with the pot-plants sections. I'll have a quick look for you when I'm there tomorrow morning... in exchange, have you seen a polystyrene drum (solid cylinder) about 10-15cm in diameter and 10-15cm tall?

I'm surprised no one mentioned Dragonmart

Anyway, are you going to tell us what you need a wooden one for, or are you just going to leave us hanging. :p

but I have a few ideas of alternative solutions, 'cos it just needs to be sturdy enough to make a cake-stand similar to this one:

I have my hopes on one of Daiso's round boxes...

yup, that could be a goer too... although It would be a comedy moment if it all collapsed and 2 tiers of birthday cake came down to crush the cupcakes!
