This is such a sad, sad story - I could weep.
Any hope of any liberation for little girls to be married off, is dying with these stupid black crows.

Very sad that a family would marry off their daughter purely for money. But also very sad that children are seen as a commodity that can be sold off for their parents benefit- seems like they don't have their childs best interests at heart just seen as a way out of poverty. Surely if the issue of of poverty is addressed it would mean less pressure to sell your children. It sounds scarily much to me like human trafficing and child abuse- the only difference of it here is that it is being done by the parents and under the excuse of being their culture.

You are so right, Kittycat. But what I really find disgusting is, that it is women, who DEMONSTRATE for this, who probably have experienced it themselves, to be married off as child. And still, they want to do it to their own little girls.
Same with the circumcision of girls. Again it is the women, who defend this mutilations.
It is scary.
I grew up with the saying: It is the mothers who decide, how the next generation of men behave.
So as it looks like, there is no hope for the next generation of girls and no hope, for a decent next generation of men.
No changes for the near future or the next hundred years?!
