Women are really bloody expensive
Only three more days to go. We'll see if I have a bank account left by that point.

Re: Women are really bloody expensive
And with three more days to go, probably some chemical enhancement, too. My friend recommends a cocktail of Viagra and Cialis, apparently they have differing impacts. Personally I believe Viargra's for pussies...

Re: Women are really bloody expensive
We went to the ladies' night at the Westin last night so she got free drinks there. *small sigh of relief*
What I didn't appreciate was having to listen to her whinge on and on about how shallow and materialistic Dubai appears to be (although she's completely right) and how it's horrible we all take advantage of the cheap labour from overseas to live a lifestyle of ease and relative luxury. I tried to point out that most of the service staff make far more here than in their home countries and what savings they garner goes a lot further in their home countries than the savings of the western expats. But it fell on deaf(ish) ears. Her heart is in the right place but the constant service was a bit hard on her, from the maids coming in to clean, the dry cleaners picking up and delivering to my apartment door, the pool boys, the doormen, the petrol attendants, coffee delivered to the car etc cetera was a bit overwhelming. I finally agreed to everything she said to get her to shut up. Other than that it was a nice evening. |

Re: Women are really bloody expensive
That's why I like materialistic girls. They're honest about what they want and make no excuses.

Re: Women are really bloody expensive
What was also annoying is that she's clearly having a good time here. She enjoyed all the bars and restaurants, thinks my friends are great, had a blast at the villa/beach party, loved the dhow tour and spends most of the day tanning herself at the pool.
Then she turns around and says she couldn't possibly live in Dubai because it's too fake and not "real" like home. Hah. If given the opportunity she'd sell out just like the rest of us.

I shouldn't laugh but that is really funny! I can see both sides. We have the services why not use them! She is jealous she has to make her own coffee :p
