Re: Wimbledoom
Agree with everyone else about Murray just being unlucky with the era he plays, although still doing Scotland/GB proud.
Pains me to say it, but also agree that the current rankings are not a fair representation of where it really is.
1 Djokovic - by a good distance
2 Nadal
3 Federrer
4 Murray
5 Ferrer

Half of me hoping for a Murray Del Potro final so its slighgtly easier on him, other half is after Djokovic so the future comments can't claim all the big boys were knocked out before the final.

Re: Wimbledoom
There is only one problem with this being an era of true greatness in men's tennis - other truly brilliant players are not so easily noticed.
Watching the Djokovic-v-del-Potro epic - which can still go either way as I write - confirms my view that JMdP is one of the top ten players of all time - yes, he's that good - but in this era (Federer/Nadal/Djokovic) very few people will even notice it.

Nadal and Federer being so good doesn't mean that Murray or any other player is unlucky to play in this period beachside they won't win as much. That is ridiculous, just be better or accept you aren't as good as the best.
Murray wins today in 3. Djoko is worn out, Murray to win the lot. Don't expect smiles though, he'll cry like a baby as will everyone else in the stadium.

1 - JMdP is one of the top ten of all time
2 - JMdP is NOT one of the top four in the modern era (although he may yet get there)

Re: Wimbledoom
Longest semi-final in Wimbledon history** comes to an end - that hug of mutual respect over the net was a magnificent gesture by both players. Djokovic didn't 'beat' del Potro - he simply outlasted him............. stunning. A privilege to watch.
