Will the UAE ever move forward?

We all know it is illegal to have sex outside of marriage but you can't help but feel for this woman. She must have been desperate to go to Hospital here and probably knew the consequences. A new born baby and it's Mother are now in jail. So sad :( |

So sad :( Obviously with 20/20 hindsight, it would've made sense to get herself out of the country with the money she paid the hospital before she got to labour. |

Can't believe it says that a hospital shouldn't accept cases like this! What's the poor woman supposed to do? Jeez if she didn't go to hospital and the baby died, no doubt she would be getting done for murder as well.

Re: Will the UAE ever move forward?
What if the baby was conceived in a country where pre-marital sex is not illegal? Probably not the case here but just curious as surely she would not have broken the law in that eventuality?
