Who's died?
Has any important local died?
I the reason I ask, whilst out for a jog earlier today I saw an ambulance with motorcycle outriders and police cars escorting it to a cemetery.
To the cemetery off Kuwait Street in Bur Dubai.
When back in my apartment which overlooks the cemetery, I saw that the police had blocked off the road, the ambulance was in the cemetery and a whole bunch of dishdashes were gathered around.
Just wondering.

I just checked wam.org and there is nothing of that sort. It's weird though. If it was a sheikh they'd announce it so the locals can go for the burial/prayer. I doubt it was a sheikh maybe just a famous man or something.

It could have been some old Sheikha of course..high ranked but hardly important or unexpected.
