Where are you spending New Years Eve

Re: Where are you spending New Years Eve
the prices are ridiculous, I have to say the 300 dhs we paid for the Atlantis on Christmas day was a good deal though. It didn't include alcohol but the food was fantastic. We don't drink during the day anyway so it made no difference to us. Wonder if it will be as expensive next year

i know, it's mad...for a five course set menu, but bloody hell...even jambase has more than doubled it's price this year, 1,400 dhs...
though i just heard that mina al salaam are reducing brunch in the new year from 495 to 400 dhs...so they must have felt the pinch recently...

Even the new Dubai Marina Yacht Club is asking AED 1,121 for a six course dinner including Wagyu beef, foie gras and specially selected vintage wines. They are also offering an alternative, a six course dinner including Wagyu beef and foie gras AT MIDNIGHT at AED 595, with jazz entertainment. But all the fireworks will be along the beaches.

Daughter arrives home after 3 weeks in Oz (hurray, can't wait) around 7pm NYE - so it's home for us with the kids, lots of home brew (yum yum) and a 14 year old who will no doubt want to talk all night about her great holiday!
Anyone in Riyadh at a lose end - our house, buffet and as much home brew as you can drink for the ridiculously cheap price of 2500sr per person Well, got to pay for that holiday in Oz somehow
Have a good one where ever you are.
