Where Are You Dining?
...on Christmas Day. We are still undecided but will have to book soon. My boss and his son (visiting from the UK) have booked the JW Marriott in Deira, as he enjoyed it so much last year. We ate at the Irish Village, but it lacked atmosphere and the long queues at the buffet were not ideal. We have a budget of Dhs275 per head, so that eliminates most of your suggestions I guess.

why anyone would eat a buffet in a hotel on Christmas is beyond me. I'd hate to think what you will get for 275Dh... I believe India Palace at Ibn Butta Mall have a buffet, try there.

With friends with the biggest, hugest leg of roast pork with crackling and all the trimmings (pigs in blankets etc), copious amounts of grape and malt beverages ... best of all, though, with friends.

That's a frightening thought! I hate to be without my passport. I'm in UK for Christmas and will be cooking for the family. Hope the snow keeps away until Christmas day as I have to join in the manic food shopping next week!
