Hi all,

Now since i have finally made it to AD thanks to everyone on this site and more or less settled in with a few mishaps on the way. Being here is making me homesick.

All i have seen so far is shopping malls, Corniche and more shopping malls, crazy taxi drivers, Corniche and even more shopping malls.

Who is based in AD? and are there regular meet-ups? Can anyone recommend places to go?

Meet my friend baboo in Bahrain, he brings nutty taxi drivers to a whole new level. Not sure why he tells me this is his name..apparently a racial insult. But the dude knows how to keep the party going after a night out.

I am in Abu Dhabi. We dont have regular meet ups - have only managed to get to one so far (thanks Norm for arranging).

The "New in Abu Dhabi" and "Cocktail Club" groups both have pretty good events.
