Make sure you get a maid who's on her husband's sponsorship. That way you'll save yourself a fortune in sponsorship fees.
Starting salaries for a Filipino is 3,000 a month, minimum.
Maid's room is to be equipped with her own laptop, plasma, queen size bed and large wardrobes with secret compartments.

So you'll have a nanny and a maid? Probably need a driver too, and someone to run your staff too so you don't have to worry about that or your children.

Where are you moving from ? You say that you will have a nanny with you - are you sure that she can accompany you as there are strict rules on sponsorship. Is she the same nationality as you as this could cause a problem.

I don't think the OP is coming back on here after the ribbing s/he's got on both threads... although I hope s/he does!

Well you'll also need three poor people to carry you on their shoulders around Spinneys.

We have friends in Dubai who brought their British nanny so it must be possible.

The only way to do that is for her to to be sponsored for non domestic employment in some way (unless your friends are very very important ). The law restricts 'domestic servants' to four nationalities, so a British nanny would have to be employed commercially as say, as admin assistant or something to get a visa.
