It hits us all at some point... when are you moving on? Either home, retirement or the next location.

3-5 years, unless another opportunity turns up. Wifes happy, so might aswell stick it out.

I've ticked the first option, but am having massive swings of mood. If the savage mozzy attacks continue tonight I will probably swing more to the "get the **** out of Dodge ASAP" option...

Nope. But the little twats keep getting in. I don't know how, but suspect either the big fan opening in the bathroom or the fact that they leave the front door of the villa I'm sharing wide open most of the day.

We said we'd stay for two years - and that's what happened - could have stayed maybe another year, but that would have been it for me. Great experience, but so glad to be home to great weather and normality.

They cracked the soju out last night. I got a little pissed, and so did the mozzies.

I'm paid pretty well, I guess, but would take a 10k pay cut to have a decent life.

no time limit...love it here and at the moment can't see any reason even to think about moving...

that said, wouldn't mind cape town or hong kong if either of those places were on offer...

Only if you are a newly wed, whose hubby is looking to have you killed. I went there a few years back and loved the place. You just need to be a little streetwise, just like any big city really.

i'm sure there are dodgy parts...but i just got back from there and absolutely loved it, would be more than happy to live there...
