Well...the Youth Club on this forum is for teenagers...i.e., 13 - 19. So , presumably, posters here should be 20 and above ?

People don't stick their parental controls on enough. Our kids can't even receive email unless my husband approves the email address and then there's the option to approve it once or always. Any website not already approved by us is password protected until we approve it. Any message or friend request our eldest gets on facebook has to be approved first too.

I know it's extreme, but I remember googling (images) skinhead to show my daughter what a skinhead was once (not realising the child filters had been turned off) and I got heaps of porn site images come up. The world is at their fingertips and you have to have some sort of control over it or they can get themselves into trouble. How many young girls have run off to meet online "teenage" friends only to be met by some 50 year old freak in a trenchcoat.

hmmm, sounds a bit much to me to be honest, if you type in almost anything you'll get some sort of porn unfortunately, I once typed in 'Wimpy' as I needed the wimpy logo and one of the sites was 'wimpy gay men held down and bummed', needless to say I gave that one a miss.
